Description:
The United States Postal Service determined that the current Johnston Post Office Branch was becoming too small to handle the heavy mail volume that was developing. Therefore, plans were drawn up to construct a brand new 18,000 square foot building (+/-) to accommodate their facilities.

Housing Systems, Inc. was awarded the project as General Contractor and began construction in May, 2000. All aspects of construction were involved. Housing Systems, Inc. performed as General Contractor as well as doing all of the carpentry, rough and finish, in the building.

Without any major problems, Housing Systems, Inc. completed the building and turned it over to the Post Office in March, 2001.
